Brazilian was stabbed to death by her own husband in Framingham, where they lived
The boy tried to kill himself after the crime, but was rescued and taken to a hospital.
The family is now trying to raise funds to transport the victim's body back to the country.
A Brazilian woman was stabbed to death by her husband in the US city of Framingham, near Boston. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Neiriane Pereira da Silva.
When following the trail, agents realized that the blood came from the apartment where the woman lived with her husband and 12-year-old daughter.
The police invaded the residence and found Neiriane badly injured. Her husband, Edvardo Gomes da Silva, 40, was found injured and arrested.
Police suspect that Edvardo tried to commit suicide with the same knife used to kill his wife, moments after the crime. He was rescued and taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital.
Neiriane was also rushed to a hospital in the region, but could not resist her injuries.
Daughter is with relative
The couple's daughter was not at the family home at the time of the crime. She is under the temporary guardianship of an uncle.
Neiriane's family started a fundraising campaign to transport the victim's body to Brazil.
